JOB - DUB02152327447 - TECHNICAL MANAGER (OFFSHORE MARINE)

Our Client, offering marine services to the Oil & Gas industry, is looking for a Technical Manager to be based in Dubai.

The candidates role will include but not be limited to -

A company Management position to provide Technical and Engineering solutions to the company as a whole, in the development of existing and projected fleet, with particular responsibility for efficient Technical operation and management on all vessels, including budgetary responsibility.

Services that come under the Technical Manager including but not limited to:

• Providing Technical support to the Technical/Operations Department and as part of the Operations team regularly discuss and implement ideas and procedures to further enhance the company's efficiency and profitability.
• Survey inspection and purchase of vessels, close liaison with sellers and Classification Societies, inspection reporting Technical evaluation, and acceptance of the vessels.
• Ensuring vessel compliance with Statutory & Classification requirements.
• Investigation of and identifying actual and potential technical causes of loss and proposing and implementing corrective and/or preventive action.
• Initiate and conduct investigations into technical difficulties, proposing and implementing cost effective solutions.
• Collate information and costs and prepare project specifications for vessel conversion to Charterer's requirements.
• Provide reports and budgets and monitor costs, repairs, equipment and conditions in order to advise vessel owners enabling them to manage their vessels effectively.
• Liaise with vessels on a regular basis to ensure their activities are being co-ordinated effectively and provode advice and guidance t Superintendents, Master and Engineers onboard.
• Ensure Superintendents during their vessels visists carry our inspections of standards, supervise repairs and advise Contractors and shipp staff during maintenance.
  

The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of experience as a Technical Manager of an Offshore company, apart from having sailed as Chief Engineer for at least 2 years during his sailing days.
